I’ll Take It!
Being members of the older generation now, we’re not always up to date on trending cultural shifts. This was brought home recently after a frantic phone call from one of the sons wanting pictures and digital information about some of the things that have developed here on the farm after he spread his wings and became a full fledged functioning member of adult society. (I could go on and on and on about how great my kids are and how proud of them I am for the rest of this page . . .shoot for the whole website but I’ll spare you all that)
I thought maybe he was sharing information with a co-worker. What I didn’t know was that he was doing something digital . . and public. And typical of his generation.
And he used (ahem) language that would have been most offensive in describing one’s mother when I was his age.
Apparently those words have morphed into a trendy way of paying tribute. I’ve heard Mr. Rogers of PBS described with the same compliment I got. That’s not bad company to be in!
